Helms Deep
This is great. (Via Faustus, M.D., my internet hero-worship of whom I is so intense I'd be afraid to meet him in real life.)
Update: Also.
Update ii: I believe I know who Jackmormon's blog hero is. Not sure I could name anyone else's.

I think I've met him. If he's the person I'm thinking of, he was a couple of years behind me at college and I was once part of a plot to seduce him with the aid of a cassette of Prince's Black Album, before its official release.
Do you know if the plot worked?
There was some making out, I think, but not much more. (This after I had left the room. I was not the main plotter.)
Some of those commenters have taken lint puppetry to a new level.
That candy-rendition of Helm's Deep is wonderful, in a deeply nerdly way.
So complete has been my successful avoidance of Tolkieniana, that I saw your title and had no idea what Helms Deep was. So my first reaction was: "Great! She's thinking about The Man Who Kept The Secrets." You'll have to admit it's reasonably plausible for you, and your preoccupations.
Wait, my blog-hero? Who-wha-wha?
I don't get it.
A blogger you look up to? Begins with an "h"?
Oh. Yeah, okay.
